This book highlights peer reviewed articles from the 1st International Conference on Renewable Energy and Energy Conversion, ICREEC 2019, held at Oran in Algeria. It presents recent advances, brings together researchers and professionals in the area and presents a platform to exchange ideas and establish opportunities for a sustainable future. Topics covered in this proceedings, but not limited to, are photovoltaic systems, bioenergy, laser and plasma technology, fluid and flow for energy, software for energy and impact of energy on the environment.

Ahmed Belasri is a Professor at the University of Sciences and Technology of Oran USTO-MB and was the head of the Plasma physics laboratory LPPMCA during 17 years. He was also the president of the Scientific Council of the Physics department. Since 2000, Pr. Ahmed Belasri is the Head of the Research group 'Plasma and energy conversion', and responsible of the research team 'Electric discharge lamps' at the Plasma Physics Laboratory LPPMCA. His research interests are on Treatment of gaseous discharges, Pollution and climate change, plasma Physics for energy and photovoltaic system.
 
Sid Ahmed Beldjilali is an Associate Professor at the University of Sciences and Technology of Oran USTO-MB. He is also a Member of the Scientific Council of Energy Physics Department. Dr. Beldjilali is currently a member of the Research group 'Plasma and energy conversion', and responsible of the research team 'Laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy LIBS' at the Plasma Physics Laboratory LPPMCA. His research interests are on Plasma and laser processes, Calibration free LIBS, Quality control of materials for energy.?
