Catalysing Change Agents - Enabling Impact Through Research for Development

This book provides an overview of the challenges and opportunities for creating positive systemic change through research for development projects, providing four real-world examples. Practical insights are offered on identifying and cultivating change agents through your projects and programs, increasing the likelihood of enduring success. Understanding and participating in these types of interventions enable researchers and practitioners to become better agents of change themselves.

Dr Seona Meharg is a leading interdisciplinary social scientist, specializing in evaluation and catalysing competencies required for adaptation. She collaboratively designs, leads, and delivers projects across domains with all levels of government and communities, both within Australia and the Asia-Pacific, often in situations of high ambiguity and contested contexts such as climate adaptation, disaster risk reduction, and sustainable development through research for development.  Seona has an eclectic background in ecology, communication, environmental law and project management, and exploring how change can be catalyzed in international development projects, exploring the theory and practice of implementation including capacity considerations for adaptation research.
