Deping Xiang completed Ph.D. and is Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of the School of Sociology, Huazhong University of Science and Technology; Vice President of China Association for Social Work Education; Member of the Expert Committee of China Social Workers' Professional Level Evaluation; Member of the National Steering Committee for master's degree in Social Work Education, China's Ministry of Education; Chairman of the Anti-Poverty Professional Committee of China Association for Social Work Education; Standing Director of Chinese Sociological Association; Standing Director of China Social Work Academy; Vice Chairman of the Development Sociology Professional Committee of Chinese Sociological Association; Vice Chairman of Women and Gender Professional Committee; Vice Chairman of the Hubei Provincial Society of Sociology; and Vice Chairman of the Hubei Provincial Society of Social Psychology.
