So it is very essential that the teachers, those who are nation builders, must be happy. In the present study an attempt was made to study the happiness of the teachers of Indore City. For the present study, the concept of happiness is adopted as given by Martin Seligman, one of the leading researchers in positive psychology. He describes happiness as having three parts: pleasure, engagement, and meaning. Pleasure is the 'feel good' part of happiness. Engagement refers to living a 'good life' of work, family, friends, and hobbies. Meaning refers to using our strengths to contribute to a larger purpose. The main purpose of the study was to find out the gender wise and age wise differences in the mean scores of pleasant life, engaged life, meaningful life, and overall happiness of the Teachers of Indore city. The sample comprised 172 Teachers of Indore city. The tool used for the study was 'Positive Psychotherapy Inventory (PPI), a standardized tool, developed by Rashid P.

Dr. Kiran Prahlad Dammani is the Principal of SGS B.Ed. College, Indore, India. She has obtained Masters's Degree in Subject Education, English Literature, Psychology. She Is Ph.D. In Education. She has published more than 55 research papers in various national and international journals. she has also prsented more than 40 research papers at Various Conferences and Seminars. She is a recognized Ph.D. guide of DAVV Indore. The area of her research work is Positive Psychology, Educational Psychology, Teaching of English, Educational Technology and Quantitative research . She having 21 years of administrative experience in Teacher Education. She is the Life Member of the All India Association of Educational Research India(aiaer).(2591) and also the Member of Board of Studies (Education) DAVV Indore. She bagged Best Teacher Educationist National Award named ' IPERA -Prof. Ahluwalia Memorial Best Teacher Educationalist Award - 2018 ' awarded by Indian Psychometric and Educational Research Association IPERA 1st October 2018 andBest Paper Presentation award by ANAND CELL, DAVV Indore, SCSIT, DAVV, Indore, for the presentation of paper on 'Study of the Happiness of the Teachers of the Indore City, in the National Symposium on Health Happiness
